MIAMI, FL, February 26, 2020 – TKEES is pleased to announce its first-ever retail location is open in the Miami Design District, a one-of-a-kind neighborhood featuring luxury shopping, galleries, museums, design stores, restaurants and major art and design installations. Known for its luxury footwear handmade in Brazil, as well as its recently launched apparel, TKEES features minimal designs and timeless collections beloved among the modern-day woman, as well as the likes of Hollywood’s elite, such as Cindy Crawford, Heidi Klum, Emma Watson and Amal Clooney to name a few.
The flagship TKEES Miami store affords shoppers the opportunity to shop in-person, the brand’s iconic footwear for both women and children, along with women’s apparel, which launched online in 2019 and sold out in just four days. Created with the future of retail in mind, the new TKEES store is 100% shoppable and available for purchase, including accessories and furnishings, specially curated with the brand’s pared down aesthetic. Among its exclusive features, the brand will offer its popular complimentary monogramming service in store, allowing customers to personalize their newest acquisition instantly. Dedicated to its customers, the store will feature a schedule of unique events, activations and personalized in-store experiences. Dedicated to bridging online-to offline, the store is the only physical location selling the company's apparel line. Making it extra special for those looking to shop one-of-a-kind pieces, the new TKEES outpost features city exclusive apparel and footwear available in-store only.
Founded in 2010 in Toronto, Canada by real life husband and wife team Carly and Jesse Burnett, TKEES was created as an answer to the simple, yet modern flip-flop, one so minimal the difference between them on and off was nearly imperceivable. First launched as a successful wholesale brand, TKEES quickly developed a following of loyal customers and launched its direct to consumer site. Dedicated to curating the best experience for its community, the company is now joining other e-commerce giants by opening its first brick and mortar location in a key market for the brand.
“We are thrilled to open our first flagship and bring the TKEES experience to life for the first time.” said Jesse Burnett, TKEES co-founder & CEO. “We’ve always been captivated by the Design District, and with so many data points also pointing to Miami it was a natural move to open our first location here.”
Designed by interior designer Montana Burnett, the new TKEES location incorporates interiors reflective of the brand’s minimal and pared-down ethos, using natural elements and textures throughout the space. TKEES collections are displayed in a non-traditional way, featuring a seated lounge inspired by the brand’s favorite boutique hotel stays.
“Our first-ever store marks the beginning of the brand’s objective to expand our retail presence within the United States,” said Carly Burnett, TKEES co-founder & Creative Director.
