ON THURSDAY DECEMBER 5TH CHECK OUT MERIDIANS
It’s a new addition to Art Basel that offers all the art lovers to enjoy a very ambitious work that “pushes the boundaries of a traditional art fair layout”. Curated by Mexico City-based Magali Arriola, Meridians will be located in the Miami Beach Convention Center’s new Grand Ballroom, and include large-scale sculptures and paintings, installations, video projections, and live performances. Same night, check out Art in Unexpected Places hosted by Art Living Miami & Kai, Basel Opening Reception.
ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6
Visit South Beach to check out PULSE PLAY, that for a past years has been the only fair feature made exclusively for video art during the whole of Miami Art Week. “This year, the fair will present two 20-hour videos by longtime exhibitor Black & White Gallery” says Katie White, Galleries Editor. While on the beach, visit Artech House ongoing exhibition “INFINITE SPACE by Refik Anadol” . This exhibition features Anadol's worldwide traveling immersive installation titled “Infinity Room” seen by more than a million people around the world in museums and galleries, including a half-million during a tour in China alone last year, three infinity boxes and a selection of multimedia works spanning his celebrated career.
